Redmi Note 9 series launch in India has begun with Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain taking the stage to talk about the product. He began the event by saying that the Redmi Note 9 launch event was cancelled due to the current "circumstances" which means the coronavirus pandemic that's plaguing the world right now. Xiaomi will be asking 9 questions during the Redmi Note 9 launch event to have a chance to win prizes, Jain said. He then went on to say that Xiaomi shipped more smartphones than any other brand's feature phone and smartphone combined tally. The Redmi Note 9 Pro price in India is Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant, and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant. The Redmi Note 9 Pro goes on sale on March 17.
